In 2011 a group of friends decided they wanted to play volleyball together once a week in Ellerslie.
They started inviting more and more people until these events were open to everyone. And so the Auckland Central Volleyball Club was born.
We registered a team in the Manukau-Auckland Volleyball Association (MAVA) league, and in 2014, Auckland Central Volleyball Club won the competition, and consequentially went on to qualify for the 2nd Division at the New Zealand Volleyball Club Nationals.
Playing at Nationals, ACVC came in second place in Tauranga. Not a bad start, huh?
